Title: I don't know whats that...
Post by: HybridMask on December 22, 2013, 10:40:00 PM
Hey hey!  ;D

Well, I need a little help in something... Again...

I will buy the Nemesis from FT. About the atomizer that I will use with the Nemesis , I need to choose between Kraken, Pulse and I-atty. Which one is better? I just want to know what you veterans think about those three atomizers.

The real question is about something that Kraken, Pulse and I-atty have in common.
I don't know what is that "black thing" in the images. (I marked and pointed in red). Both Kraken, I-atty and Pulse have this thing. What is it? Do I need to buy more and change it from time to time, like the wicks and wire? FT sell this?

Sorry for the bother, mates.  :-X

TBH, as a new user, I wouldn't recomend any genesis atomiser.

My advice, choose a  silica one instead.

A BDC glassomiser would be good as a starter

I wouldn't recommend a mech mod either, probably better to go with a vv/vw device to give you some protection and control. You can still use the batteries and charger in a mech later when you are more used to what's going on with everything.

Ulric and a1laserboy, the only reason I want to get those atomizers is because the Nemesis will be 50% off in Xmas... I want one in the future, but the promotion is tempting... :(

you'll have to be extremely lucky to bag one of those when they go live - very few available considering the world will be after grabbing one in the seconds they'll be available.

I don't know what is that "black thing" in the images. (I marked and pointed in red).

that is stainless steel mesh - it being the intrinsic aspect of genesis type atomisers - the mesh is rolled into a tight tubular shape and performs as wicking material.

 mesh  (http://www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com/products/-400-x-0.03mm--30-Micron-or-48-AWG--Super-Fine-Vape-Mesh---316-Marine-Grade-Stainless-Steel---100-x-13mm-Strip---10-Pack-2579.html)

@itsmeitis
One stainless steel mesh will endure for how much time? How do I know when it's the time to change for a new one?
Also, do I need to oxidize it myself or The Vape Mesh Company do it already?

Thank you very much mate!  :D :D :D

I find my SS mesh wicks last me months. You can buy the SS mesh already cut and oxidized from some sites, but I ordered mine from the mesh company and it came in large sheets that I then cut to size and oxidize myself. Whenever I change out the coil I run a straightened out paper clip through the center, use a lighter to cook off of the old juice, and then reuse it. I replace the wick whenever it starts to fall apart in the area the coil goes ( or I just flip it around the other way ;) ) I found when I just started messing with gennys that I did go through the mesh much faster, but I believe that was because I tended to over torch the mesh and was messing with my coils much more frequently than I now do.

not trying to be rude or anything, but they say a picture paints a thousand words, why don't you spend some time watching some of the hundreds of YouTube videos about re building genni atties that people have spent much time making and up loading.....every question you have will be answered in a clear manner..it will bring you up to speed on the subject better and faster than countless pages of text.

Lol Scott , I think you may be better with a silica arty , I had a genny when I first started and it was a pain , due to my inexperience, so as stated above either watch plenty of vids and have a go ,or get a silica arty first

My two penneth

Gennys can be a right pain ln the butt and leak!

I mostly use silica because they are more consistent, my RBA's of choice are the sphiroid & kayfun lite.

My 2 bobs worth,
as you're inexperienced and seem intent on a genesis type of atty, go for something simple and easy to set up. I'd suggest the rsst as a starter, they're great for learning on and are a good vape too, not the best looking atty in the world but far from the worst.

- Capt12B: Thanks, mate. It's good to know your experience with gennys style. Also, great tips!  ;D

- justin case: I totally agree with you, especially with "a picture paints a thousand words". Since I'm pondering to start vaping, I've been watching a lot of videos and tutorials. It's a lot of information. I will continue to watch videos.

- Scott: I'm watching a lot of videos! I really enjoyed the review of the Kraken and the Caravela! Amzing work Scott, it's really helpful! I can't wait until the "Beginner Zone" be finished! :D

- jono7969: I will start with and EVOD. It seems easy, all the video tutorials I watched looks easy.

- Grove: WTF?! lol

- nosmo: Yeah, Silica seems to be more "easy" to don't make mistakes.

- gruff: Yeah, I've watched some reviews and tutorials of the RSST and it looks more easy for a newbie. For me, it looks cool, I liked the design. Thank you!

Oh, by the way, just a curiosity. I didn't find any information about this. How much juice a genesis atty consume? Like the RSST and the Kraken. If I vape all the day, how much liquid I will use per day?

So, thank you all for the help. I will post what I think about the EVOD that I've bought.

Again, thank you all!  ;D

in case you aren't aware already, Scotts reviews feature the genuine article - those aren't generally available from the discount outlets.

it will depend on many variables and differ from person to person - 5ml might be a relatively good average but 10ml per day is not uncommon.

Just as I thought, it consumes a lot of juice.
