been looking at this idea earlier with Niteowl ... here's the same principle using a glass from a fuse ... video being from ECF

Pyrex? I am slow, i dont get it. How does the liquid reach the coil?

guess it doesn't really need to. the juice soaks up the wick and will still be evaporated by the coil even tho it doesn't actually touch it as the heat will come through the pyrex.

cunning idea... possibly even a cleaner taste as the juice is heated up more evenly?

that 4ohm coil with 15watts of power seemed to take almost 3 seconds to even get up to speed tho!

Sounds like a good idea for the oxidisingly challenged such as myself. I was thinking about trying some standard 2mm wick to get the cobra into use.

The display on the mod in the out of focus video - is that the new 20w board being developed in the states?

Oh, if that is the case then this is just great. Primarily because the reasons genesis style atties werent mass produced was due the fact that short circuiting is a major concern imo. This might just lead to genesis style atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers.

I am concerned about vaping pyrex material though, i think it has a high melting, burning, evaporating, degrading temperature but how high. Can glass be used instead of plastic?

hmmm.

genesis style atties are mass produced ... they are relatively new on the scene, but many interpretations are now coming out in numbers.

i dare hazard a guess though, that while the genny relies on an unorthodox approach to electrical insulation and therefore amasses inherent danger, their sale could be hampered under the constraints of current regulation.

a proper non conductive wick for gennies is just around the corner, trust me i can feel it in my waters.

I agree with you but the repeat sales and cost of the mass produced ones are really low for these (found from a couple of vendor friends whose initial sales were high but then over time went down) . Also for those who need to vape rather than most of us who love to vape do not have the kind of time and effort we are willing to put into it. Also using big butane lighters and syringes is always an issue (this is an experience only from a handful of friends). The amount of metal that goes into a genny atty is far more than that of a regular 510 and the price of it is only about 4-5 times.

proper non conductive wick and a way to reduce/remoce leaking and making it more mobile will definitely be awesome.

this would be very very cool. i don't really have an issue with needing to oxidise the wick (actually quite enjoy it) but would be nice not having to.  my genny hasn't leaked at all recentlly either, even when left on it's side - tho i do try to keep the air hole facing upwards when i remember.

I have re wicked the cobra a few times now and altough i have nudged and prodded every time it is getting shorter. And the quality of vape for me is tops. The draw and TH are on the money and changing the wick has been by choice rather than necesity...if its not broken...

i'm finding myself picking up my cheap genny as much as my spheroid now. really love both of them, especially on mini ego batteries. be interesting to see what i think of them after my vamo turns up mind u ;)
