Title: Cheap tool to help coil making
Post by: David on February 27, 2014, 12:33:43 PM
Hi guys and girls, long time no see.

I made a small inexpensive purchase recently and was blown away how much easier it made my life, so I thought I would come back and share it with you guys.

Its nothing major or expensive, but my coil making in terms of time and quality has improved no end.

Below I have made a link to the item I purchased. I bought the T014-small so I could make 2mm and 3mm coils.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130654196692?var=430053095939&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Hope you guys find this useful.

Best Regards

David

P.S. I am considering buying a second one and cutting it in half for use in coil placement.

It was pure luck and it turned out much better than I thought it would. I thought it would spin in my big hand, but it surprised me how easy it made coiling for me.

TBH for that money i thought it was going to be crap, but it was so cheap it was worth a punt.

the seller is probably wondering why there's such a sudden increase in bracelet making  ;D

I am glad I have found something you guys haven't already found. I had visions of me making this post and someone saying,... yeah David we been using them for months. lol

Just for me with 0.2mm Kanthal 9 wraps at 2mm or 7 wraps at 3mm gives me roughly a 1.5 ohm coil. This coupled with 8.5 watts and my homemade menthol 0mg liquid is all I use these days.

The 3mm coils I tend to use in my drippers Like my IGO-L

The 2mm coils I use in my Kayfun's.

Both size coils are micro-type coils which I use organic cotton with in both atomizer types.

Anyway, hope everyone is as happy with it as I was. If I come across any other bargains that I think might find useful and something you may not know about I'll pop back and tell you.

Laters peeps.

If I didn't already have a handy supply of crochet hooks in various sizes (my missus bought them not me! honest!) I would pick one of these up, looks like a great find and will be recommending it to friends that struggle with micro coils.
