Title: Nicotine
Post by: ukric on August 06, 2013, 10:48:01 PM
I'm awaiting a reply on nicotine base.

If the reply is favourable, doable and good value, I will be doing a group buy on nic base.

The price is VERY reasonable... just had a reply back.

Only thing I need to look into is shipping within the UK

Nick, ukric (in a pm to me ) indicated that it is 72mg PG base.

btw ukric, I too, am in ...:)
Title: Re: Nicotine
Post by: ukric on August 06, 2013, 11:33:00 PM
The reason it's PG, is I vape a PG/VG mix, VG is cheaper to cut down with than PG.

Sod it.

I've just spoken to Lynda @ Dockford Park in Sunderland, Royal Mails contact centre.

I informed her I wanted to send a mixture of Propylene Glycol and Nicotine (I was perfectly clear on what it was)

The reply?

There is nothing on the prohibited list for this so I'm fine to send it within the UK providing it is in a plastic bottle, packed securely and has my name and address on it.

So it'll be going by RM. :)

So I'm gonna need 28 Bottles and 28 postage tubes that they can fit in.

Challenge for you all

I need 1 litre bottles and postage tubes that the bottles will fit in, that fit within the royal mail medium packages sizes of

Length  61cm
Width  46cm
Depth  46cm

If anyone cares to have a go at sourcing these it'd save me some headache :)

how about these bottles? they have a childproof cap, not sure if the material is ok though....

annoyingly the prices are for 25 or 50.

I have used the bottle from a1laserboy's link as a size guide.

My man got back to me, but the prices are no better for boxes or tubes.

I found this on ebay -

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Many-Sizes-A1-A2-A3-A4-Bulk-Postal-Tubes-Packing-Tubes-End-Caps-Cardboard-Tube-/320974125120?pt=UK_Packaging_Materials&var=&hash=item4abb8c7840 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Many-Sizes-A1-A2-A3-A4-Bulk-Postal-Tubes-Packing-Tubes-End-Caps-Cardboard-Tube-/320974125120?pt=UK_Packaging_Materials&var=&hash=item4abb8c7840)

I can ask hime fo a specific quote etc but will need a better idea of the bottle size.

We could maybe buy longer tubes and cut them up, buy extra end caps.  :D

tubes are cheaper to post than some smaller boxes now due to RM changing stuff about - saw something on watchdog a short while ago, but can't remember the exact details.

Collect+ will deliver a light parcel (up to 2 kg) for £5.59 (two day, tracked) or £4.89 (3-5 days, tracked) but you have to print labels and take to the local shop that process, so it might be a bit of a ball ache unless you have a shop up the road

That's fair enough and after seeing the prices I'm in for sure if you have a space.

Title: Re: Nicotine

Is the weight similar to water? IE 1 litre = 1KG?

I understand different liquids can have different densities and weights.  :)
Title: Re: Nicotine
Post by: itsmeitis on August 07, 2013, 01:42:47 PM
i believe it is around 970ml = 1kg
Title: Re: Nicotine
Post by: eddy-r3 on August 07, 2013, 01:47:45 PM
If i my chemistry/math is any good then its 865ml = 1kg, (but thats pure PG so maybe different when adding other bits and bobs to it!)
Title: Re: Nicotine
Post by: spyder on August 07, 2013, 01:52:19 PM
I was just trying to work out how many liters from 30kg but my answer was on a previous page of this thread. 28.

I hope I can squeeze in, I'm low on nic base.  :'(
Title: Re: Nicotine
Post by: eddy-r3 on August 07, 2013, 01:56:20 PM
8.67lbs = 1 gallon of PG

(3.93kg = 1 gallon of PG)

So, if 1 gallon = 4.54ltr then

3.93 / 4.54 = 0.865ltr per kg

Or 865ml per KG

Could be wrong, but thats how i got it lol :)
Title: Re: Nicotine
Post by: ukric on August 07, 2013, 01:57:02 PM
it'll be by the kilo rather than by litre so that there are 30 equal amounts :)
