Took delivery of some of this earlier.

Setup the cobra with it and knew the resistance was gonna be alot lower from readin so I did 6 coils in the hope it would be enough to make it work on me Vamo

Turns out not the case. It hovers between .9 and 1.0 ohms so had to use my ego batts instead so lowest I can go is 3.2v


The flavour is still great and have no hotspots. Vapour seems hit and miss, but gonna guess that's because of my really thinned down juice.

But just wondered if someone can explain how a thicker wire brings such less resistance cause it don't compute to me :S

thicker = less opportunity to resist the flow of electricity ... very logical.

Think of the wire a highway.  The thicker (more lanes) the more freely traffic can flow. If the wire is thinner (less lanes) cars are restricted - the more cars the greater the backup.

Oh ok I'm with ya, the electricity aint strangled so much.

I had it in my head that the more mass, the more resistance for some reason.

I get it now, appreciated :)

Slightly more technical, it is because resistance is inversely proportional to cross sectional area and directly proportional to length. As the length of your wire is the same the resistance depends only on the cross sectional area. As it is inversely proportional to the cross sectional area, the resistance of thin wore will be more.

Before anyone jumps on this explanation there are other factors involved Roe, Temp etc.
