Help Picking Some TW Flavor Concentrates
« on: August 12, 2015, 12:38:59 AM »

TW is having a pretty good sale and thought I'd get some Flavors.  Any recommendations?
I mostly vape tobacco flavors but that might be because I find mixing tobaccos easier than trying to replicate other things, but if you like it, I'll give it a try.

i recently discovered their 'lemon sherbert' and think it's lovely - it was premixed though and i'm not sure they do the concentrate, but if that is available, i'd recommend giving it a try. :)

ive been smitten with their buttermint for the last few months. also really like mint humbug. i mix them both around 10-15% depending on my mood and pg/vg levels.

Thanks All, placing my order.  Funny thing, I just did the Windows 10 update and it decided that I needed a password, but they (MS) didn't bother to tell me what it was.  I was afraid I was screwed, but my daughter was able to sort it out while I was at work. Whew!!

absinthe is really good with high vg,but gets better with higher pg juice. you actually taste the floral notes and not just the anise/liqourice flavours. i like to add a dash of blackcurrant sometimes to change it up a bit. too much blackcurrant overpowers the subtle florals though.
mocha is nice, but its not my cup of tea. i found it a bit bland no matter how how i mixed it.
buttermint is my current adv, so its a given that i like it a lot. with a heavy vg mix i dont get much of the buttery/toffee taste but loads of menthol. with a 50/50 mix on a 1.8-2.1 coil i found the buttery/toffee flavour is more defined.
sasparilla is a nice vape and is pretty much a close match to the real thing. gets a bit sickly sweet after a time though.
kiwi is a refreshing change for me, i like it in a high pg mix for the flavour. high vg kinda kills it for me.
cant comment on the rhubarb&custard, sherbert lemon or the tobacco ones other than the golden tobacco. got some last year for my sister in law,had to try it, but all i could taste was damp rotting corrugated cardboard.yucky. she seemed to like it though.
let us know what you think of them when you get em.

Thanks Gruff,
I think I will place another order to get some more Gold Standard Real Tabs and Black Magic.  I mixed some Black Magic yesterday @ 12% and it was wonderful.  After it has time to steep I might bump it to 14%.  I always seem to lean towards tobacco flavors.

For the Mocha I used a 60 / 40 PG/VG mix with 15% concentrate.

i got some black magic last year, 20 ml of it without trying it first. mixed a small bottle of it but didnt like it much. could taste the flavours, coffee/chocolate/tobacco but it wasnt to  my liking. needless to say, its been banished to the "tub of never to be tried again flavours" that constantly grows in my vape cupboard.

It's been a week or so and I have vaped all of these.  They are all very good but the Rhubarb and Custard is surprisingly good and worth a try.  I have been vaping it every day, but not all day since I got it.
Hard to describe but like "back to nature" taste.  My first impressions was oh crap the taste of cut grass or hay, but by the end of the tank I could taste other flavors.
I have been vaping it in a dual coil Billow V2, which I find mutes the flavors of most of my juices so this "In your Face" flavor seems to work well with it.
I can't compare it to a rhubarb since I have never tasted one, but give it a shot if you are looking for something different.

Get a small bottle to start, you might find my taste buds are fried compared to yours, but I'm pretty impressed with the accuracy of the TW Gold Standard flavors so far.
