Battery recommendations
« on: June 06, 2015, 01:43:13 PM »

Hello all, long time no see!

Not been on here for a long time as buckled and ended up mixing the stinkies with vaping, then more stinkies than vaping then pretty much stinkies and rarely vaping. Didn't feel right me posting - guilt and shame and all that. Anyway, after realising I've gone back to feeling physically like a sack of sh+t again I've decided to go back to just vaping. I've a provari p3 coming and wondered if any of you wise bods could point me in teh right direction of some decent batteries? I could do wiht a couple of 650's and 500's

I'm not into all this sub-ohm malarkey and just wondered if it was as simple as buying some AW IMR? Last lot I bought were off Torchy about 2 or 3 years ago (but they were Efest) so I think they're probably not so great now?

CHeers and hope everyone's ok  :)

no shame in it mate and you're certainly not the only person who duals ...

onto batteries, and i recently bought these :  from fasttech

they're 25r by Samsung and regarded today as pretty much the best of batteries on the market. i'm confident they're real or authentic despite being very well priced at less than fifteen quid for four.
they are available in the UK too, and can be got for around a tenner per pair.

i have less info on *500 size, as the last ones i bought personally, were efests - great batteries but approaching a year since i bought them direct from James (torchy) while at vapefest.

Cheers bud, appreciated

I'll probably get a couple of UK ones now for speed and stick a FT order in when I've time to browse all their other wares too  ;)

I can't seem to find torchy on ebay - has he gone? I found these ones tho: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-GENUINE-SAMSUNG-INR-IMR-18650-25R-2500mAh-20-35A-Li-Mn-3-7v-BATTERIES-CASE-/181692336189?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a4db5083d

Are these "high drain" then? And do you know if it matters with flat tops or button with a p3? I read on one site that they work with flat tops but I didn't know if that meant only with flat tops or as well as button tops lol

the 25r are 9.99 from here puremist never used the company myself, so can't vouch for them personally, but others seem to be happy with them.

it's a good looking thing is the Phantus - weighty little thing though, probably twice as heavy as the larger other :)

I recently got one for my Mini Cloupor after asking Torchy for a recommendation – it's very good indeed. He's thinking of doing a special deal at Vapefest: Three Samsung 25Rs and a special torchy zippered case for £15 cash...
