Nicotine device licensed as medicine in UK

A nicotine inhaler which closely resembles a cigarette is the first product of its kind to be licensed as a medicine in the UK.
The product, called Voke, which is not electronic, could be provided on prescription to help people stop smoking.
It is also the first device made by a tobacco company to be licensed.

Does it come in child attractive flavours such as bubblegum, chocolate etc, and will the custard  flavour contain diacetyl.

the Voke has been a long time coming, although this its initial licence is still an interesting development as it might quell criticisms pertaining to 'nicotine'.
whether or not the device can be a resounding success, remains to be seen, though being aimed at smokers seeking to quit, it has significant potential or opportunity to become a life-saver.

i therefore wonder , how it will be received by competing interests and will they have an automatic dislike for such products as can infringe on their markets ... :-\

interesting to see one of the earliest comments coming from an e-cigarette vendor who states "Well if it gets a licence I'll get one just to piss off witherspoons et-all."

funny thing is, the same chap would prescribe his own lucrative product line as life saving stock, yet where a rival is available, it becomes his convenient means to antagonise ::)
