20 drops= 1ml?
« on: November 04, 2013, 05:45:05 PM »

I was just wondering, has anyone got a link for the thingy ma jig, that I need?

When I use my pipeeeeeete to count 20drops of pg/vg into a syringe I'm getting 32 drops per ml. Is there something on ebay, that comes close to the 20 drops.

Cheers.

Why do you need this? Use a syringe instead?

I use the 20 drops per ml ROT but mixing is all about ratios so as long as your using the same dropper for all the components your golden. I think the 20 drops per ml is more correct when using the droppers from the old 30ml bottles I used to use.  Another factor that will Throw things slightly off is VG vrs PG and PG is thin and form smaller drops while VG and will form larger drops ;)

+1 on using the syringe

20 drops is only a guide and every drop will differ depending on viscosity of the fluid and the gauge of the vessel.

I've got enough syringes to vaccinate the wife 5'000 times:0 - On the calculator, you get a few figures of 3.4ml ( 68 drops) - so that 8 drops would become 12 drops if
I were using a pipeeeeeete, or am I been a bit too precise. Are there syringes that go up in 0.1ml? the ones I've got, go up in .5ml.

3.4 ml is a permanent measurement - therefore it should be precicely the same be it from a syringe or from a pipette (subject to accurate markings)
