Expanding Kayfun topcap o-ring
« on: September 02, 2013, 07:32:01 PM »

Since changing my juice to a variation of Fi's nom nom (super yummy - i think it should be called), I found that the o-ring in the topcap of my Kayfun 3.1 has expanded. First time i thought the guy i'd bought it off might have fitted the wrong size and I hadn't noticed so I changed it out for one of the spares that came with it and after a month this one has done the same.  I built it with the new o-ring and used it until the wick and coil got gunked up, then just put it to one side and started using something else. So not taken it apart from the first build.

Oddly, i also noticed that the o-ring in the topcap of my mister has also stretched so much it became unusable and had to be replaced.

Has anyone else found this happen with 'noxious' juice? (liquorice, aniseed and absinthe)

Sorry about the big pic.

Maybe i should have googled it first eh? :P

I'm surprised that they get affected by some juices, I thought they were pretty inert.

Care to share what you ordered Ric?  8)

I wonder if there is another material ring we can use that will hold up to our juices......
