Kick in the Mod
« on: August 27, 2013, 05:54:51 PM »

Hi.

I bought one of these from Fasttech, not a bad little device -

I want to try it out with a Kick, but can't place the kick on top of the battery (if the battery is the right way up) coz there is a connector post thing there (as you can see from the pic).

I was wondering if it would be OK to put the kick at the bottom of the device, in contact with the spring. If I do this, should I put the battery in upside down?

What jaffink?

Cheers

i would expect the kick to work as long as it is placed at positive end of the battery - however - the kick should require feedback from the atomiser, which could in itself present a problem as the mod/device may offer up additional resistance. :-\

in simple terms, best thing to do is - give it a go and see what happens  ;D

I don't think it will work mate.......as far as I can recall, the Kick requires the sprung loaded connection on the side of it to be in contact with the negative part of the circuit which is carried via the body of your device. By turning the battery upside down you would be making the body of your device carry the positive instead

Thank you gentlemen.

Luckily this mod works quite well as-is with a freshly charged battery, but I will have to watch out for this type of config with future telescopics though (assuming I get another one ... which I undoubtedly will  ;D)
