And started to polish it up, this is 20mins on the lathe with paper from 240 upto 1200, then finished off with some polishing compound (soap) and some K-Roll :)

Need to finish the lock ring and button, got a brass one on the way to with the intention of mixing them up, polishing etc :)

Hopefully will be nice with a brass/SS top cap on the AGA

So, spent a bit of time making a brass firing pin for my sigelei 19, came out alright, need to shave a little off as there isnt any throw on the button at the moment, may extend thread into button so it can be adjusted to some degree and see how it comes out :)

Made a new button to, annoyed as it has a dimple in the middle, will polish it out shortly though! :)

Right finished, saved myself a fiver (LOL)

Only took a few hours...and loads of sweat lol came out well though, works a treat to! To be perfectly honest, i dont really notice a difference, but none the less, still happy :)

See the dimple? Yeah im off to get rid of it...lol

Ok, went with 2 coils on 1 wick. Bit fiddly to get setup, but got it down to .8ohm :)

Worked out pretty well to be honest, the only problem i have now is my wick, wicks too well and have to have it vertical otherwise it floods.....Moan if it doesnt wick, moan when it wicks too well, no winning with me! lol

Thanks for help guys :)

With the flooding it can either be that your wick is too loose in the wick hole (so liquid is seeping round the edge when tipped) or not enough mesh used so the hole down the wick is too large and acting like a straw/pipe so when tipped liquid just flows up it too freely.
You need a hole down your wick for the capilliary action but not one that is too large. I find that my wicks can just fit a paperclip or pin in them (tightly) and have had no trouble.

That 19 looks absolutely minted polished up like that eddy

I tried doing mine with just polishing compound and even though it gave it a nice finish it was nowhere near that polished finish you've got there. I've got the paper coarse to fine so tempted to give it a go when I get chance. I've been meaning to stick a boge on the mod and then putting that in the drill chuck and seeing how that goes - got to be better than just elbow grease!

But yep, excellent looking that

Yeah the problem is with polishing the tube as it comes is that it has a machine finish on it, to get a real polish on it, you need to remove this, going with as you stated, course - fine papers. I went from 240 upto 1200, would like to redo it to be fair as there are still some machining marks if you look upclose and also the locking ring hasnt been done, which again, i will do at some point in the future.

If you go the boge/drill chuck route make sure you dont over tighten it when polishing it lol :)
