Thanks ukric, I got a RM delivery yesterday of the Sig8W + kick.

I love the kick - works exactly as "it says on the box".

I like the Sig8W too, but that spring - it's a stiff bugger, isn't it?
I left the button overnight fully compressed under some dictionaries, but I believe I may have to change that spring, or release some of its tension under heat - for my specific needs.
(I have nasty arthritis which mainly affects my wrists and phalanges, and yesterday's mucking about with the Sig8W actually left my left hand, wrist and forearm in some pain. My problem, I know - nought to do with the Sig8W, per se, other than its spring...)

ps. (resigned lol). I've also discovered that, because of my disease, I am now the wrong size for bottom-button 18650 mods. There's no 18500 tube with this, so I either use it in 18350 mode, sans kick, (works fine, btw) or this one is destined to become another paperweight... :(

wow. if they would, that'd be .... er... "fantabulastic".
(sorry. I meant: I'd be most pleased if they'd be so very kind as to make an 18500 tube for the Sig8W. xD )

Can't see em saying no. Only a case of making the same tube shorter than 18650 before putting threads on

  • It's not a clone, it's a coincidental likeness

bugger. I've been using the (sigelei?) "kick" from this group buy for ages, and it usually stops my battery from depleting below 2.8-ish volts.
Today, correctly grounded inside my sentinel clone, I found it allowed one of my IMR18350 to go down to 0.9v.

I am not happy. doubleplusungood.

anyone else observe this behaviour?

There's a single report of the kick not cutting out at low voltage.

Im not sure if this is someone with a faulty one or missing feature from it.

Just thought if pop it up here so ppl can be mindful.

This is posted a couple of pages back in this thread, it was somehting I'd seen on UKV, didn't appear to be that common when I searched for it after reading that I seem to remember

Has it affected the battery? Is it dead?

no. it seemed to have recovered ok. i used the i4 to fast-charge it for half an hour, all by itself (not something I do with an 18350 cell on the i4 usually), then switched it to the i2 for a proper finishing...
(i2 is better for the 18350 cells, and a better charger overall, anyway)

Just a heads up for those who bought an 8W.

The 18500 tubes are stocked here

http://www.kernowvapes.co.uk/Sigelei_8w_18500_tube/p2086842_10478291.aspx

Found it whilst having a browse.

Out of stock, but might be worth checking when they'll have them back in.
