Yeah its true that things can go VERY wrong on a lathe, specially a big 'un! But i guess like most things in life, treat with respect and an understanding and they can be your best friends! :)

But seriously, is the guy trying to hold back a chuck in the 1st video? lol What an idiot.

Great post and ill be sure to keep an eye on this! I watch a guy on youtube called : Keith Appleton, makes model engines, great to watch and very entertaining :)

work holding with a 3 jaw chuck. don't let your part end up in the wall or maybe your neck. be safe and follow the rule
