What's the best Anniversary
« on: May 05, 2013, 05:46:29 PM »
seeing as how many folk have celebrated varying degree of anniversary since quitting their smokes, what is the best anniversary of all.

clearly a year smoke free is a huge milestone, but with the relative newness of vaping, everyone has yet to gain the higher numbers.

might 10 years ever replace the initial excitement which one year brought us ?

Since I start vaping some 16 months back, I'd have to say in all honesty that whilst a year is one heck of a milestone, the one i'm most proud of is 1 week.

I knew by the end of that time I'd quit a life long habit and more to the point that it could be done. Prior to vaping, giving up smoking was, in my mind, an impossibility...and without vaping, it still is/was for me

totally agree...the point in time when you realise that you can actually quit the fags because of vaping, is the one that really stays in your mind.

you among the very few first too, to approach then reach that five year mark ... it'll no doubt be a great anniversary, but also celebration at the immense amount of additional vapers who have since followed the lead of yourselves the early adopters ... to be fair, you, Scott and a select few others were all very much, experi mental. :P

@ Ged

I am in total agreement but am happy to report that so far so good and I feel so much better. I am not a fair case study however,  as I have been / and continue to breath in all kinds on nasty forms of smoke that have nothing to do with analogs and if I do develop a health problem it will be very hard to point the finger at what the cause could be from.

I think the biggest milestone is realising to yourself that you don't need fags anymore. This obviously varies between individuals but is a great feeling.
