Batteries for Innokin SVD
« on: March 30, 2013, 06:55:12 PM »

Hi Gang,

Can anyone recomend the best battery combination for an SVD? Am using 18350 (Efest) stacked. There ok but run out of charge quickly compared to other devices such as the MVP and i-Taste vv.

Stacked batts are running in series. That means, with your Efest IMR 18350s, your getting a nominal 7.4V@700mah. That's ok if you're looking for high power dedlivery over a short period.
However, if you want normal power delivery over a longer period, a single 18650 is the better option, since it will give you a nominal 3.7V@2000mah.

Thanks bud. That makes sense. Sure I'd be only vaping at between 3.5 and 4.5v for the moment anyway. Have ordered a couple of 18650's for regular use. Does it matter what mah they are? They can be got at 3100mah. I odered 2600 mah anyway. Thanks again.

I personally like the IMR 18650s (2000mah) and I get great performance from them. I avoid stacked batts now as it increases the chance of venting a battery (boom). If you do stack batts I recommend you keep then in married pairs and if one gets weak bin them both.
