AGR SS/POLYCARBONATE TANK  - plastic has gone cloudy?
« on: February 14, 2013, 07:18:13 PM »

Hi

Why has the plastic gone cloudy on my AGR SS tank?  No other rba has had this problem.  I use a 50/50 mix.

On another note, I am quite new to these things, it came prebuilt with a ss mesh wick.  The thing hardy gives off any vapor but it blows my lungs, really hits hard.

Any advice gratefully received,

Thanks

Ant

that is a sign of your e-liquid reacting with the polycarb of the tank ... the cloudy appearence is more than likely an amount of thousands of minute cracks ... they will eventually come together to produce one single major one and the tank is then buggered.

Hi
Its a DIY, 50% PG 50% VG with a whole mix of flavourart flavourings.  The same mix I have put in the vivi nova and clearomisers.

I just did a search on the magic word "polycarbonate"

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tanks/219179-lets-make-list-juices-flavors-crack-tanks-ce2s-clearos-16.html

I will be avoiding them in future

I had that happen to me when I first started vaping. I didn't know certain liquids would react, it was a menthol juice. Well you live and learn.  ::)

apart from a couple of CE3's that have gone ever so slightly cloudy i've never had any issues with plastic tanks. which is odd as i pretty much only vape citrus flavours.

I'll happily send you some cinnamon mint if you feel you're missing out ;)
