DIY Cube Hybrid / Anyone requiring CAD or Visualisation...
« on: February 10, 2013, 08:13:59 PM »

I'm only new to vaping but I'm also an industrial design graduate, so couldn't help but see if i can't build my own. Feels kind of like a right of passage. I picked up a Siam Mods 14500 Cube Mod (which is great) and an AGA T2, which looks pretty over sized on it. So I'm going to attempt to get some new SS parts machined and use the bits out of the AGA to create an atty that matches.

Let me know thoughts or suggestions? Pics below.

I like the 'squarer' one but it would be near impossible with all the threads to get it to line up right. So it's probably going to be the round version (17mm diameter) with a cube style tip. Pretty tiny so the tanks only going to hold a little less than 2ml but I'm fine with that. Anyone know if multiple smaller air holes in line with the wick would work?

[I don't want to infringe on any siam mods copyrights - this is purely for fun and personal use]

----------------

Also, if anyone has any ideas or designs of mods or atomisers on paper and needs them converted to technical diagrams or 3D (or even just visuals) to get manufactured then I'd be happy to do it for free (although it would be great to get one of anything that does get produced)...

Intresting idea having lots of very small holes and mind you would have to be small. Good cad work :)

Cheers guys.

The cap with two holes are 0.75mm each, I guess 1.5mm is pretty standard so should equate to the same.

Just finding a few CNC metal lathe companies to send over drawings to. Will keep posted with how I get on...
