perhaps it is a stupid quetion but why do you punch holes in cartomsers for? I have just ordered some broge SR from VR and I didnt know about that.I would be grateful if any one can explain

the punched cartos are for use in an external tank ... the outer tank would contain the e-liquid and the hole in the carto allows liquid into the carto.

Often heard of as a carto tank. Scotts done some reviews of a few of them.

I also just got some boge xl carts and would like some advice as to what would be a good tank to use them in. At the moment i am broke,  so looking for cheaper options.
