advice needed
« on: April 06, 2013, 07:24:55 PM »

Got my first gensis atty the other day, three wicks and four coils later finally got it firing. It has a reasonable amout of vapour and more flavour than my ego c but could be better on both counts, the resistance fluctuates between 1.7 ohms and 2.2ohms constantly...is that normal or not?

I'm having a problem with the top coil being a little slack every time I've made one, could that be causing the fluctuations and the vapour production?

Any advice would be greatfully appreciated

resistance fluctuates

then something is probably not secured properly ... or ... you have a 2.2 ohm coil, which is picking up slight shorts.

it does seem very slight though if it is indeed a short ... also check the connection between mod and atty.

Genesis setup takes a bit of practice to get right but once you got it, it is really easy and produce a vary satisfying vape ... there are plenty of videos out there and I recommend watching Scott's for starters ;-)

To avoid the slack top, insert a syringe needle or straightened paper clip before making the coil, not too lose but not too tight and evenly spaced ... and do a double turn on the top before tightening the positive end  ;)

I'm having a problem with the top coil being a little slack every time I've made one ...

also ... go opposite beyond the final coil ... i.e if the coil wraps clockwise around your mesh, then finish by counter clockwise as it runs to the centre post.
