No electricity.
« on: October 27, 2012, 05:44:47 PM »

I was getting ready to go out earlier, was  in the shower, went to switch it off and BOOM!!! Biggest sparks I've ever seen. Every socket and light is out. The fuse box is the old style with actual fuse wire. I rent so it isn't my place to fix it but it's in a hallway with no lights and about 10 foot up so am not going to risk it. Certainly not risking it in the dark. Won't be sorted until Monday.

Fortunately I have a load of charged batteries sitting ready to go.

Might not be online for a couple of days. Need to conserve the battery on my phone.

lol

Fortunately I defrosted the freezer during the week and hadn't refilled. Fridge food will last a couple of days (what there is of it). Cold beans out of the tin for a bit I think.

Vaping by torch light looks very cool btw.

Yeah but on the plus side, he'll be frozen, so there'll be no mess when they find him! :)

That's a bummer. On the plus side, if it only happens when you have a shower, you'll have at least another month before you have to worry again  :P

Happen to me last year when we had that really cold snowy spell, took 36 hours to get a electrician out to me who had it fixed in 10 minutes! I was glad I had a gas fire and hob tho it would have been very miserable without!  :P
