Looking to genesize!
« on: October 21, 2012, 08:22:31 PM »

i am looking into a genesis type atomiser and came across this one,it will eliminate the need for oxidising the mesh.Any thoughts or ideas on them or will i be better to take the plunge and go for a Cobra?

The device looks fine to me and a nice price for an all SS genny. Not sure about the wick tubes or how well they work .

I guess that it would be an ideal intro into Genesis type?Even if i had to Oxidise the mesh?

The wicks will need to be ox after the wick tubes are spent with that atty just like any other genny. I have no idea how well the wick tubes work but the device looks equivalent to a DID with the clear tank add on so I would assume it would perform just like any other genny. I have come to love my cobra ,though I found it more tempermental than the DiD to set up which I partly attribute to its down sized wick hole. I think ether way you would get genny experience and would warn you to be patient whichever route you choose to go. Nothing wrong with saving a little $ in the process ;)

Cheers for that capt,i think i will take the plunge and get it and practise and see if it warrants me to go for a Cobra.

Please let us know how the wick tubes work out-  I'm very curious about them as they might be the solution for others struggling with hot spots on their gennys ;D

Well it arrived today, and after a bloody awful day(i lots the house keys, drove 15miles to find them in the car, then later on i lose the Car keys, find them in a Sainsbury's bag with the taters!)
So i unscrew the TINY phillips screw, fill with the Fish,a few dribbles on the wick and attach to the ZMAX................nowt...............bugger all,so i swap it to the LT WOOOOOOOOOOOSH!(it will fit the Zmax with a small adapter i have.Once the manufacturing gubbins burnt off i was getting TONS and TONS of Vapour, the Throat hit had me coughing like i did on the stinkies,so i turn it down.Much better, still loads of vapour but the flavour isnt there in as much as i get off the Vivi Nova.I am assuming that it will need bedding in as it were.I will persevere,if after another 2 tanks the flavour isnt up to scratch,i will remove the wick sleeve and try oxidixing the mesh and try it down that route. Its a nicely built bit of kit with 2 drip tips, one a nice chrome job. Also spare mesh, wire and sleeve with a few O Rings. Its probably me being a noob.LOL,still its better than spending out on a Cobra to find out i dont like it LOL

oh,yeah i forgot.remember the TINY phillips screw?well i lost that on the floor trying to get the bugger back in!Possibly that may have a bearing on the poor taste, having a hole where it shouldnt be?
