The Vivi wicks well and of course you can rebuild the heads....If you find the rubber cap that goes over the head to tight you can cut a tiny V where the wick feeds under it.

DCT are good too....I think its all down to personal preference at the end of the day. Like Cerb says the DC cartos are a bit on the pricey side, especially if they only last a few days...Where by the Vivi you can rebuild it. Of course you have to get some nic chrone wire and also wick if you dont want to keep buying the atty heads. I like to use the bulli wick. I use two strips of this one longer than the other. But again everyone has their own way of doing it.   ;D

Vivi nova
Pros
cheaper to buy
Rebuildable and replacement parts
Really easy to fill
When rebuilding you can use what ever wick style that you want even steel mesh
Configurable
Good size tank
Ok vapour
Easy to change flavours on

Cons
Tight draw
Occasional poor wicking
Muted flavour on old silica and glass fibre wicks so need to be re wicked often

Cartos and tanks
Pros
Very large tanks up to 6 ml
Fantastic flavour
plumes of vapor
Carto can last for a week or more before flavour and vapor are effective
Hundreds of tank designs to very easy to get a good looking tank
Cartos are cheap and disposable so no cleaning
Nice light draw

Cons
The Cartos can cost up to 2 quid a piece and some cheap ones are crap but if you shop around you can get good ones for about a pound
Flavour changing is possible but it's a pain in the ass
Tank filling is bit of a faff at first but once your used to it or get a proper filler aid tip
Carto reliability can be a pain sometimes they can last a week or 3 but every now and again they can last a few days
Cartos can over wick on thin juice and under wick on thick juice so you need to experiment to find the a Carto that works for you then stick with it

I like both and have used them since I started vaping but if I had to choose I would take the Carto and tank as flavour vapour looks disposability and convenience
But the vivi got me into rebuildables and now I have gennys with Carto tanks as backups so those Cartos can last ages that way

Hope that helps

Cheers guys. Just watch a tutorial on re-wicking simple enough to do. So I think I'm edging toward the vivi nova. ;)

Have you had a look at the rebuildables on vapourhut Frankie?  Just a thought   ;D  I've had a g on the bulli style one and its fairly easy to set up...but the screws are tiny, so you need an electrical screw driver set with the small phillip heads.

I don't like dual coil cartos. I do like standard cartos in tanks. Low res boges work well in a carto tank.
I usually have at least two carto tanks set up and at least two vivi nova set up. I hate the idea of something going wrong and not having anything to vape on.

If you can, get one of each, you will most likely use both anyway.

I like the DCT more but the vivi nova is more convenient. With the 1.8ohm head and short wicks it performs great for me but still the dct with 2.7ohm boges is better imo. I agree that you should get both :-)
