Mixing and saving money.....
« on: April 15, 2012, 03:49:01 PM »

People interested in mixing ........... Here, hopefully will be the thread for you..... I've decided to do this so if your new to mixing you can come and use this thread as a reference.

Members who mix........I thought this would be a good thread for links to sites which sell good priced mixing ingredients and accessories...Hopefully others can add to it :)

First off.......Ingredients:

Nicotine:

Nicvapes in the US. Very good priced Nicotine. Delivery takes on average 9+ days. postage is very reasonable.  http://www.nicvape.com/store/c/20-Unflavored-Nicotine-Liquid.aspx

Liquid.cn. For Bulk nicotine orders:  http://www.e-liquid.cn/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=14&zenid=1044df8320afb7d2d7eca8d133dd692d

LibertyFlights. one of the cheapest UK vendors (for those who only buy from the UK)    http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=91
--------------------------------------------------------------

Flavouring:

Liberty Flights. They have a vast range of flavours and most of these have a customer review. This can give you an idea of what others think and although flavours are a personal preference, the general thoughts on these may help you choose what to buy.   http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk/discount/ecr69.asp

ECigWizard. http://www.ecigwizard.com/shop/en/25-mixing

Perfumers Apprentice. In the US  http://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/c-54-professional-diy-flavors.aspx    Allow for 9+ for delivery.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Vegetable Glycerine............Plain Vegetable Glycerine for cutting/reducing Nicotine levels.

Many e-cig vendors sell this but can be bought much cheaper from the Chemist/Pharmacy.

Boots the Chemist ...On the shelves as B.P Glycerine.  99p for 200ml  (White and red label)

Update:

To thin thick VG mixes. One option is to add distilled water. Found in some Supermarkets, online and some Halfords etc.

Also Vodka can be used to thin thick VG mixes.

Propylene Glycol.

Can be bought from many E-cig vendors.

Boots the chemist sell it much cheaper. £8. 69  for 500 ml. Has to be ordered by Pharmacist. Normally comes in next day after order.

Also can be bought via e-bay. But make sure its from a reputable seller.

.................................................................................

Bottles and syringes.

Liberty Flights    http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=26

Just type it into google......As currency changes all the time. I will type, for example, '49 pounds into dollars' and it comes up straight away  ;D

yes I know just thought may look good on this thread  :)

Anyhow kicking it off how long can you store your ingredients for making your own Juices and where to store these? Also do your answers change once you have opened the containers?

When you buy Nicotine and flavourings they should give you an expiry date, this includes plain PG and VG......... Keep all liquids out of heat and light, preferably in a lockable box or cupboard if you have children and animals in the house.

Some people like to store their liquids in the fridge.

very helpful post Fiona and great reference for newcommers. 8)

one part does puzzle me though.

the Aqueous vegetable glycerine stuff appears very expensive. seems a ridiculous hike for just the simple addition of water.  ::)
purified water is generally cheap anyway but even a 35cl bottle of vodka could provide much better value above the aqueous stuff.

Yes I know, but its just an option....  ;D
seems very counter productive to pay £7 extra for a delivered version of a 99p product, particularly amid home mixing & money saving. ???

if anyone is wanting to achieve a saving and is willing and able to mix, why would  they then not add there own dilutents. ???
