This has probably been done to death, so apologies, but I`ve been searching and cant seem to find a definitive answer..

Bulli Wick and wire, which ones do I need?

I have had to search my old posts to find where I bought my Oddy wick from, couldnt remember. It looks like it was from ecigz. Will that work ok on the Bulli? (Heavens gifts are out of stock of the one they do)

Also, I have seen 0.2 wire being used with the Bulli. Is my no res 0.2mm nickel ok to use on the Bulli or do I need Kanthal (or whatever its called).

Also the mesh sheets if anyone knows the cheapest place.

I have seen the video of Rawveg oxidising the mesh instead of doing it the usual way. I might eventually give that way a try too, so have ordered a blowtorch, lmao. (Fire brigade on standby).

Thanks
Jim

Hi Jim

I have used both kanthal and nichrome resistance wire on my bulli, I tend to use 0.20mm nichrome from wires.co.uk.
There is no need to use no res wire.
I got my mesh in A4 sheets from here - http://www.themeshcompany.com/acatalog/____span_style__color___000000__________strong____Ultra_Fine_400_Mesh_____strong_________span____.html

The wick I use is from heavens gifts - http://www.heaven-gifts.com/product-371.html
but have bought from the bulli site also

Well I cant seem to get to Bulli to fire up at all now 8/

All it does it heat up the battery on my don. To such an extent that I dare not use them batteries anymore.

Anyone know what I`am doing wrong?

Sounds like you are creating a short circuit mate.....I assume you have put some wick inside the mesh?

You can't have the mesh touching the coil...only the wick sticking out of the mesh should be touching it

Cheers

Hi, its shorting even when I am at the testing stage before the mesh. Its something I`am doing wrong with the coil to begin with.

It was working fine, then just stopped working altogether, but now everytime I make the coil, nothing happens, but the battery gets red hot.

Think I`am going to leave it for now then revisit it when I am next on my days off.

Thanks

Hi, I did it exactly the same as you. I was watching the vid as I did it. I must have bust it because I have made 6 or 7 coils since and it just won't have it. I make the coil then put it on with the screws etc. Then I put it on a mod and put a bit of juice on to test it with, but won't fire up. The battery just starts to cook in your hand.

Have you checked the adjustable switch on the Don? or the atty connection?

hi mate,

take a look at the Bulli's atty connection........check to see that the tiny insulating ring is still in its proper place and separating the outer ring from the central connection

if that little insulating ring is not in place then that will cause a short circuit too

also, check to see if it works on another device if you have one......if it works then its the Don thats knackered :(

cheers
