strength comparisons
« on: January 20, 2012, 01:39:33 PM »

hi all

i was originally buying pre mixed juice and started at 18mg then went to 24mg for better throat hit but did not notice any diffrence, my last batch i bought from tw was 32mg and was expecting a kick in the throat,,was no diffrent to 18mg or 24mg, hmmm i thought so decided to go d.i.y route.

purchased 125ml of 50mg and 100ml of pg for cutting and some flavours to add.
i made some at 24mg and 32mg, the 24 gives very good throat hit and the 32mg is too strong, so whats going on with other surpliers of pre mixed .

i have also noticed the lack of vapour from my pre mix, and have read that vg gives better vapour but affects the taste.

i purchased the nic cn sourced, base and flavours from liberty flights...was this a good choice...?

and how much vg should i add to increase vapour with out sacraficeing taste...?

steeping, i read somewhere its only needed on tobacco flavours, im not in to those as broke the habbit, i stick to drink and fruit, some of the flavours taste strange or nothing like they are surpose to , will steeping help this...?

can you recommend good flavours and brand that you have tried, as i think some have good flavours amongst their bad ones...?

any advice to this i thank you the more i read the more confusing it becomes and as i always get good advice here il try your surgestions over other fourms thanks phil..

VG doesnt weaken the flavour by loads its a very subtle difference (In my opinion). It is sweeter than PG and I like it more ....Many people us a 70/30 PG/VG  ratio.

Flavouring wise it will depend on what percentage your using of the flavouring and also different flavourings are stronger than others...Finding what you like best is trial and error.

What type of flavours are you looking to mix up?

LF nic is very good quality, but I now buy mine at Nicvape as it works out cheaper. Its a shame LF put their prices up as LF was the only place I used to buy my nic from......

You can get bottles of VG in Boots the Chemist...89p by the cough syrups.

Actually if your vaping fruit flavours then VG will help sweeten them. Some can be a little 'acidic' so it takes that harsh edge off. But as I said it really depends on the flavouring.

Perfumers Apprentice do a nice cappuccino and also coffee....Liberty Flights and ECigwizard sell these.......Also UK-eliquid, I think you can use the ECR69 code with them too as they are part of ECW.....You might find the UK vendors have these out of stock every now and again and so I buy mine straight from PA in the US.....I havent had any trouble with liquids being sent from over seas.

If you do choose to buy from Perfumers Apprentice direct, it takes about 9 days on average for delivery. Also dont choose the flavourings that contain oil or 'custard' Theres not many of them but its worth to take note of this............ http://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/c-54-professional-diy-flavors.aspx

If you want a creamy Coffe taste, try the Barvarian cream and/or the Dulce De Leche ( Perfumers Apprentice) to mix in with the coffee or cappucino...These two flavourings are nice to mix with most flavours.

But hopefully LF etc, will have them in stock if you'd like to try them out.

I cut my pure vg by 20% with vodka to thin it out prior to mixing with it ;)
