Syringe / tank experiment!
« on: August 18, 2011, 10:46:57 PM »

Having had some success with sorting my clearos with 2ml syringes I watched a video on u tube on how to make a 10ml tank from a syringe, I'm going to try with a clearo and a bigger syringe....will put up the results either way.. :D might even iclude photos  :o

Well.....I think I have managed to 'make' the ugliest syringe tank in history, it does vape! it doesn't appear to leak! I will post an update and pic (as long as it doesn't break the camera) I'm taking it to work to try it out all shift and will update later.................I don't think Arry tank has much to worry about though  ;D

If it works then all's good! Just paint it a nice colour and you could have a little cottage industry going  ;D

I am trying to post a picture of the 'fugly tank' but the forum has decided it's just too ugly to be seen, or my computer is being a bit odd. I took it to work with me, 8mls of juice, some odd comments, one person wants one and I didn't have to top up all day, all in all a result.  ;D

It worked behold the rough cuts, dodgy seals and downright ugliness that is the 'fugly tank'  it does work though and as I'm no oil painting myself I'm happy with it. Found I used it all day, will be good for driving ( put 8mls in and no sign of needing to refill for the week ). I will make a couple more as a have a few clearos left, who knows might even send one to Scott or Steve for a review.............then...........world domination becons!!  ;D

Thanks guys, I've got a couple of weeks off from work ( nice!! ) will probably make a couple and if I get some more clearos cheap will make some, anyone going up to vapefest might get one if they are really unlucky.
I want to find some better seals for the base (hand cutting the sink washer in this one was a bit of a git, only thing I could find in the local DIY shop near me)

Will update when have more to show

Cheers
Mark

Have you tried the rubber off the syringe plunger from the syringes your making your tank from? I had made some carto tank seals by removing the rubber off the plunger,  placing the rubber end down with plunder connection up,  then I took an old carto and placed it on the center of the rubber end and  wacked it on the end with a hammer-  this cut out a perfect cargo size hole and the rubber sealed well on the carto ;) My problem was then trying to get the syringe tank on over the rubber plugs.
